Creative Writing
This is a gallery of creative projects including: assignments I completed for digital storytelling class, a book review, blog posts, and a link to a long bio I wrote for poet, Samantha Thornhill.
The Craiglist's "Missing Connection" was a project my teacher assigned as a way to put creative writing on a social platform not often utilized. I chose Craigslist because I thought the missing connection tab would be a good place to come up with a fictional story. It received way more responses than anticipated as people responded well to the concept of "ghosting" that I used as a theme in my story.
The blog posts are from my own personal blog, a blog I used to write for called Seven Halos as well as writing I did for the brand, Jeeves, every week.

I’ve been interested in graphic design and illustration for some time. I’m excited by how words (quotes) are transformed by illustration. I also love organic shapes and typography.

All Bodies Are Beautiful
I was inspired by the 90s for this illustration – the belly shirts and decorative jeans. I added organic shapes and circles as a backdrop to make the illustration pop. I also wanted to make the body fuller to signify all bodies are beautiful and worthy enough to show some skin.

One of my favorite illustrations.

A compilation of my random thoughts.

A Rare Sunflower
I have recently been interested in collaging images together to create something new. I plan to use some of my own photos as well as lines from my poetry as graphics for social as well as my site.

Chic Monster of the Day
I created this term for my blog years ago. The definition of a chic monster is someone who kills (monster) the fashion game (chic). One of my favorites to be featured is Solange because she is definitely a true style icon. Read more.

Bio for Samantha Thornhill
This is a bio I wrote for Samantha Thornhill. I interviewed and collaborated with her on it. She wanted a long bio that chronicled her life and I believe it came out very well. You can read it here.
